Every month I arrange a kind of celebration during the full moon. The full moon has been an important part of the yogic life for thousands of years. During the full moon there is a natural upsurge of energies in the system which makes the spiritual dimension more available if we know how to make use of it.
Yoga Initiation Course is for you who wants to get a proper understanding of yoga and a solid foundation in your own practice. This course teaches you not just how to bend your body, but how to live the yogic lifestyle- making every situation in life a possibility for growth and wellbeing.
Deg.
Are you looking to get a proper understanding of yoga? To build a good foundation for your practice? Or maybe you have been practicing yoga without feeling any major changes in your life? If so, then I welcome you to take part in the Yoga Initiation Course!

Part two: The practical stuff. Learn postures, breathing techniques, meditation, chanting and more.
Every participants of the second part of the course will get a free edition of ‘The Path of Yoga’. A simple explanation of what yoga is and how to become a yogi. In it you will find many great practices that can transform your life.
Yoga is a spiritual practice, which to some can sound a bit scary or weird, but what that really means is that it’s a practice that aims towards self discovery. The body is an accumulation of all the food you have gathered, and the mind is an accumulation of all the information you have gathered through your senses. What you have gathered can be yours, but it can never be you. So what are you, beyond the body and mind? This is the realm of the spiritual, and the yogic practice is a way towards that- the essence of who and what you are.
The mind and breath are closely linked. When you control your breath, you will also, indirectly, control your mind. With pranayama, we expand our life energy, and learn to handle our thoughts and emotions.
As you progress on this path, you’re not only coming closer to understanding yourself, but you learn to control your thoughts and emotions. You enhance your mental abilities and perception. You break free from your own limitations and irrational fears. With this liberation, comes great joy and inner peace!

The whole celebration lasts for about two hours, leaving your body and mind at ease with a heightened sense of clarity and joy, ready for the next month! No experience needed. Tea and light food will be served after for those who want to stay for a chat, play some music or just simply relax.
Two days ago I experienced my first full moon celebration at Darsh Yoga. I didn’t quite know what to expect, but I knew I had some bottled up, feelings that I needed to release. When I got there, I was holding some anxiety in my heart, but I was met with such love! We started off by breaking through our mental boundaries through music, movement, dance and sound. It was amazing to feel all of my resistance just letting go! We continued by doing a sun salutation, and then Darsh guided a meditation which triggered a strong, emotional response in me, such a release! We finished off by singing along to this amazing song and did some chanting. By the end of it all I felt so steady in my own body and such peace in my heart! Thank you so much for creating such a safe space for people to be be free! So much healing and so much growth.
Your head is full of dreams, you wish to indulge yourself in some new exciting experiences – and still there is something inside you that blocks you from taking that first step. Your comfort zone is tempting, as likely as not it’s that comfy couch that calls you over, wraps you with warmth, and then keeps you away from the wonders and dreams you have. But sometimes you hear a call – and sometimes it happens to be the full moon celebration.
Am I ready to step out of my comfort zone? Will I fit there? – those thoughts were running through my mind from the moment I signed up – yes I signed up and still doubted it 🙂 But as my rational brain kept on telling me: You must be willing to get uncomfortable because discomfort is the only path to growth. Apparently, there was no other way, so I went. Not venturing, not gaining. And believe me or not, I fell in love with the journey through the full moon ceremony. It helped me work through my tension points to release their grip, it wasn’t just to shy the tension away – I fully opened up my soul and felt the energy growing in me. I experienced many emotional stages from laughter, anger, fear, bashfulness even embarrassment to finally coming to the state of feeling proud and calm, simply balanced – as I knew I broadened my horizons. All thanks to the outstanding guidelines. The path I’ve been introduced to didn’t overwhelmed me, and we all were in it together. I am grateful and you have my full appreciation. Thank you for sharing your incredible knowledge and passion for supporting others in their personal growth. And thank you for enlightening my day.

What is it? Yoga Nidra is an extremely effective method of relaxing. Most of us live with chronic tensions that are the cause of all the agony we experience in modern life. Yogic philosophy, along with modern psychology, refers to three basic types of tensions. These are physical, emotional and mental tensions. Even in deep…
When it comes to nasal cleansing there are two practices: neti and nasya. Neti is a process where you use salt water to cleanse the nasal passages using a neti pot. With nasya you lubricate the nasal cavities with oil. You might be wondering why you should cleanse your nostrils, but if you think about…
Dry brushing is just what it sounds like- brushing your skin with a dry brush on dry skin. By doing this you scrape the dead skin cells off the top layer of your skin. This is done before you shower. The practice promotes detoxification and stimulates your lymphatic system. Did you know that your skin…
Abhyanga has many benefits, including toning your muscles, enhancing detoxification, softening your skin, calming your nervous system, releasing fatigue, aiding your sleep, improving elimination, lubricates your joints, increases circulation and hydrates you from within.
Our vulnerability can be a treasure chest To be vulnerable is to let down your guard and open yourself to life. It might bring about epic transformation, but this is a two-way sword. If you open yourself without the necessary strength and insight to deal with what might come, it might cause great trauma as…
Willpower is the muscle of the mind In the 8 Limbs of Yoga, the sixth limb is Dharana, which means concentration. Concentration is a vital ability in your yogic practice. In fact, it’s a vital ability in anything you do in life. One of my many teachers- Dandapani, defines concentration like this “Concentration is the…
Concentration is the ability to keep your energy flowing in one direction for an extended period of time. Within the 8 Limbs of Yoga we find Dhyana as the sixth limb. Dhyana means concentration, and it’s an essential part of your yoga practice. Without it, you won’t get far. Concentration is a huge challenge for…
